NL Industries, Inc. Announces Third Quarter Conference Call

HOUSTON, Oct 16, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- NL Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NL) will host a conference call to discuss its third quarter earnings report on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. (EST). Mr. J. Landis Martin, President and Chief Executive Officer, will host the call.

Participants can access the call by dialing (800) 230-1092 (domestic) and (612) 288-0318 (international). The title of the call is NL Earnings.

A taped replay will be available at 2:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, October 31, 2002 through 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, November 7, 2002 by calling (800) 475-6701 (domestic) and (320) 365-3844 (international). The access code for the replay is 656661.
